Antique Crochet
Info / resources on a possible instrument of ancient crafts of thread? Probably crochet.?
A while ago I received an unusual type hook preparation tool. I've been knitting since I was 8 years and knitting for many years also, but I've never seen anything like this. The tool is made wood, about 18 "long and has a hook on each end. It is about 1 / 2" diameter. There was an unfinished piece in this tool the first Once he got it. The piece, performed in a heavy gauge wire, apparently worked directly on the tool against the tool, as in the normal crochet. I love Old style design, such as hairpin lace. Not surprise me if this double hook tool is also the national capacity of arts of bygone days. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I love to put this tool to good use. Thanks in advance. Thanks to both respondents. Research based on their support revealed that this double-ended hook is also used in the style of Tunisian crochet, like Afghanistan.
You have a double-ended crochet. It's a bit like using a hook in Afghanistan. Also called crohooking. There are tons of patterns to your hook out there. As a matter of fact, I made a blanket baby of an "I" double-ended crochet and it was fun to do. Here are some of the sites. Hope this helps. Mary
