Can anyone help me with amigurumi crochet?

I use to make amigurumi attempt and even succeed in making some animals, but lately, have yet been able to pass step 1. I really want to be able to amigurumi again.Also do I have trouble making the required number of stitches on the second point of the hook and I forgot how I used to make amigurumi.
