What is best for knitting socks – 2 circs or DPNs?

I've been doing projects like hats with round double circs for years and I love it. I'm working on my first really small project – gloves bamboo DPN # 1. Is it worth learning the coordination of DPN, or should receive 2 circs?

AD is not difficult at all, really. I know that may seem daunting – something like an angry porcupine ate her knitting – but in really no different that using circular needles. If you already working with the circulars, they know how to do enough to stay stitches on the needles and sufficiently weaving loose at the same time. That's the hardest part with AD: the tension.
